Fallen Angel

(John Clayton)

This song touches on what can happen when a child challenges, and pulls away from family as they begin to grow and search for their identity. It explores how easy it seems to be in today's world for children to become lost not only to themselves, but to any thoughts, or hope for any type of future. Today's society seems to offer many more avenues of destruction and many more "slippery slopes" that children need to be guided away from, and supported through as they struggle towards adulthood. These lyrics simply reflect how the signs can be missed and how quickly things can slip out of everyone's control.

Mother wonders How she became a fallen angel Maybe too much to soon With no anchor of steel Set adrift in a world Where nothing is real Father wonders Why his angel went wrong He wants to pull her back But she's too far gone ***Chorus*** Fallen angel Come back to earth for me Fallen angel Already shaking from the deal Fallen Angel Now the loneliness is real Fallen Angel Now the loneliness is real Sister wonders Where her friend has gone Nothing left but a shell Of who she knew back home Pictures and stories, echoes and cries Reminders which bring Pain and regret to life Brother wonders Where his sister has gone Young and pretty She once seemed so strong Fairy stories, and little dolls It seems all those times Are dead and gone Mother wonders How she became a fallen angel...

Good Life

By John Clayton

Good Life is a statement on how the media often portrays life and existence. While it often glosses over the mundane and presents an idealized version of daily living the truth for many is far from that reality. Of course "escapism" is the purpose of many of these programs or movies. But, if it influences thinking into a false sense of what is possible it can end up being detrimental as opposed to merely being entertainment.

Love Like Me

By John Clayton

This song is an exploration into a relationship where one is willing to lay themselves completely open with no reservations, and no fear of a complete commitment in every way. While in many relationships we hold ourselves back in some way, shape, or form this song represents the completeness found and the level of openness that can be given at anytime when we find the "one" person who we believe "completes" us.

Miss Misery

By John Clayton

This song explores how we can fall prey to our emotions and circumstances and let them take over and even overwhelm us. The lyrics play on the saying "Misery Loves Company" and makes the statement that Misery attaches itself to someone because "It" hates being alone. An emotion has no life or energy until someone gives it power and we sometimes can lose ourselves without even realizing it.

The Wait Game

By Annabel Chima

This lyric conveys the emotions of waiting for something to arrive whether that be a relationship, a call, a business deal - something you have yearned for and wanted for a very long time. It's the uncomfortable but needed period of waiting for it that brings meaning when it finally arrives. The atmosphere is very hopeful, a little sad, but ultimately, sentimental. Genres: RnB, Pop, Neosoul, Hiphop It will fit perfectly in the aforementioned genres.

If You Leave Me

By Brian Hendrix

For the first part of 2021 here, I've really been stuck in a very classic-country phase in my writing. Not intentional; it's just the way they're coming out. So this is one in a style that you might expect to hear on the radio in the '50s. It's basically just a guy's rhetorical note to his woman, reminding her that she loves him and shouldn't leave him.

The Futurist

By Ari Wilde

This song is inspired by the art movement Futurism where artists wanted to do things that had never been done before. It's about how we can change the society we live in with our art.
