Karianne Gabaldon

Karianne Nicole Gabaldon is a Songwriter from Hugo, Oklahoma. She has been writing lyrics since the age of 13. She wrote her first actual song in 2010 at the age of 18. She works on, not only songs, but books. She is a published author, poet, and screenwriter as well. She had started to write for music artist, Jordan Carroll, but it didn’t turn out. She had also written for other musicians that had used her work but not exactly partnered up with her. She has schizophrenia, but puts her pain into writing. Her mother, biological father, and stepfather are all incredible musicians who most likely made Karianne the songwriter she is today. She loves her life so much and is so grateful for the people in it — especially those who chose to follow her on her journey through writing.

A very depressing song I wrote whenever I was going through a rough time. 95% of my lyrics come from my heart, experience, and state of mind at the moment. So I just was feeling this. The rest of my lyrics that don’t are just fictional. Or about someone else.
These very lyrics are about a woman in an abusive relationship but she forces herself out of it and knows she has a throng side to her. Once she finds her strong side, she sees that she shines even in the dark.
These lyrics are incredibly deep. Kahlia is actually me. This is my story of my teenage years of cutting, suicide attempts, and how I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. The depression was unbearable. This is my story of how I overcame that.
These lyrics are about a woman losing the love of her life. She’s letting him know all of the hurt and heartbreak she’s enduring and wondering if he even feels an ounce of guilt.
