Broken Lullaby
A broken lullaby is a metaphor for the voices in our heads telling us that we are not enough and that our life is meaningless. The lullaby symbolically tries to put you to sleep, but sleep, in this sense, is neverending. Our everyday demons try to make us believe that our sadness is forever, even though it isn't.

My Broken Lullaby
Wants to put me down to sleep
And my demons try and try
To bury me, bury me deep
I locked myself
in a panic room
And now my head's
Got a rendezvous
With all my fears
All my darkest truths
I can hear the music
With a bloody tune
And if I follow the sound
I'm going six feet down
I got a gun to my head
I think I'm losing myself
My Broken Lullaby
Wants to put me down to sleep
And my demons try and try
To bury me, bury me deep
I'm in hell
With my life on loop
And I'm wondering
How low can I stoop
How many days
'till I lose control
'till the devil's choir
Gets me on the ropes
If I follow it's sound
I'm going six feet down
I got a rope round my neck
But it feels like a crown
My Broken Lullaby
Wants to put me down to sleep
And my demons try and try
To bury me, bury me deep
My broken lullaby
Wants to put me down to sleep
How will I survive
If I can only weep
