First song written for and from a melody on the Trail Dulcimer. A little experimental in phrasing and rhyme.

It’s a lyrically charged song, telling basically how nice and deadly the Emcee is on the microphone, but still wielding the capacity to keep you on your feet, drunk on this bars because the lyrics- alcoholic.

This is a song about a dead broke young man, trying to find his feet and navigate the various challenges of adulthood and master the twists and turns. At a point, he imagined life in an alternate universe, but holds on to hope like a Velcro baby scared of falling, but “his father used to tell him dreams come true” referencing a song by plantashun Boiz.

The chorus is a short poem I wrote when experimenting with the Nava Rasa ( Nine Emotional States ) from Hindi/Sanskrit. The verses are a variation off of my poetic form in regards to repeating the first line at the end of the verse. As with all my offerings I can edit or expand as needed. Spent years as a professional florist, so imagery and terms associated with and flowers will find their way into my works every now and then.
