Bad girl

(Annabel Chima)

Inspired by Michael Jackson's 1982 song, 'Billie Jean,' this lyric portrays guy who is trying to impress a girl who he likes, but she has her personal demands of him. To date her, she demands that her male counterpart 'woos' her through gifting her "designer things." She is an expensive lady. He is enticed by her tenacity and is intrigued to know more about her and provide for her. The vibes/atmosphere are very sexy, cheeky, funny, quirky, celebratory and hopeful. Genres: RnB, Hip-Hop, Pop It fits perfectly in the aforementioned genres.

Some Body

By Annabel Chima

This song is quite sexual. It portrays the desire for someone, physically; smartly enticing the audience through the lyrics. It glorifies the body and discusses being proud of its effect on others because of its presence, appearance, and beauty. There is a 'boasty' element also. Furthermore, it describes a person that would rather makeup through means of sex or flirting than argue with their partner. The overall vibes/atmosphere of the lyrics are celebratory, sexy, flirty, a little bit mystical (in the way it refers to the body), but mainly good and happy vibes are present. The hook is melodic, whilst the verses are to be rapped. Genres: Rap/Trap/Drill, Hip-Hop, RnB. It fits perfectly into the aforementioned genres.

My Own

By Annabel Chima

This lyric illustrates one's frustration with others - the need to do things on your own because certain people are unreliable. It is highly accusatory and calls people out: 'haters' and 'fakers'. I am sure a lot of people will be able to relate to situations where they have been let down. Sometimes, it is easy to become fed up with others. It further emphasises losing hope in friendships. The overall vibes/atmosphere of the lyrics are angry and wistful in situations where you must put your faith in others, but are slightly hopeful and empowering to one's self. Genres: Pop, Hip-Hop, RnB, and possibly some sub-genres of Rap. This lyric fits perfectly into the aforementioned genres.

Nothing To Lose

By Annabel Chima

This lyric describes the fear of losing something/someone you love. Perhaps, one would prefer to have 'nothing' because you can't lose 'nothing', but you can lose 'something'. It further illuminates the need to hold on and contemplate whether it is worth taking the risk, knowing that this thing/person is of sentiment. Sometimes we have to be brave and take the risk of losing something/someone if it is what we truly want. Sometimes it's worth it. The overall vibe/atmosphere of this lyric is fearful, especially in matters of love. Genres: Ballads, RnB, Pop. It fits perfectly into the aforementioned genres.

If You Leave Me

By Brian Hendrix

For the first part of 2021 here, I've really been stuck in a very classic-country phase in my writing. Not intentional; it's just the way they're coming out. So this is one in a style that you might expect to hear on the radio in the '50s. It's basically just a guy's rhetorical note to his woman, reminding her that she loves him and shouldn't leave him.
