When I started paying attention
to what everybody said
I started to feel pressure
coming from everywhere
to just be a reflection
of what other people felt
so out of self preservation
I no longer care
about my generation
the past one or the next

Now I feel much happier
having made things clear
I can do what I once did
tell the truth without filter

it's quite liberating
not trying to speak for someone else
