War or rock and roll

(Howard Aronson)

This lyric is about war and the destruction it causes and the peace it prevents around the world. But it's also about hope, perseverance, and the never ending thought of peace. I believe rock and roll can bring us all together. It has before, and it can do it again. I don't know what I would do without music, and this is a lyric that stresses without music we can't have peace, without rock and roll we can't have peace, it's time to choose war or rock and roll. I choose rock and roll

There's a Battle cry rising up A storm of destruction, enough is enough We're fighting for freedom and what we believe But the cost is high, and the wounds they bleed It's either war or rock and roll Gotta break the chains and take control Our hearts beat as one As the battle rages on The volume is turned up As we take the stage, The music sounds like a heartbeat As the crowd roars, and jumps out of their seats It's either war or rock and roll Gotta break the chains and take control Our hearts beat as One As the battle rages on And we'll keep on fighting With every song we play Until the war is over And we see brighter days It's either war or rock and roll Gotta break the chains and take control Our hearts beat as one As the battle rages on War or rock and roll War or rock and roll That is the question As battle rages on We'll rock until the war is won War or rock and roll That is the question As the battle rages on We'll rock until the war is won

Victim

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about our government and how they treat our veterans, our homeless, and people with mental illness. It's specifically Target the veterans, because they usually fall into both the homeless and mental illness categories. It's a shame that when veterans come home from defending their country they are treated with such negligence and are an afterthought for our government. This lyric is about a guy named Bobby who came home from the war and found out all too well the real welcome he was going to get.

Good friends

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about some really good friends from high school, when we got together at a reunion. These guys were some of the best friends I've ever had, and in about being in high school and some of the best times I've ever had. They were never any worries during my high school days. All I did was have fun, date women, and play a lot of sports. Our futures were all ahead of us, and some made out better than others. But the saying is true that sometimes good friends go awry and they'll always come back to you. Good friends are hard to find. I still stay in touch with a couple of these guys today, and I cherish that relationship.

Oh Tannis

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about a girl named Tannis, who I met when I was 23 living in San Francisco. She was truly my first woman that I ever fell in love with. She was from British Columbia, and was only living in San Francisco on a visa to go to college. I knew one day that she would leave to go back, and that our love would probably be no more. Even to this day, at 63 years old, I think about her, and what might have been if she didn't have to go back to Canada.

Love and peace

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about how sadness outweighs happiness, how love is outweighed by hurt, how peace is outweighed by stress. I know for me, for a long time I had no love in my heart for myself or anyone else. I couldn't find peace or happiness in my life either I did believe though, that one day I would find love and peace, I would find happiness. If I stopped listening to the lies in my head, I knew that I could get to the other side of that, and find that happiness, love and peace that I was looking for

A song about eating disorders and struggling and/or recovering from them. I have been in an out of recovery from atypical anorexia nervosa, binge/purge subtype which is a type of OSFED (Other Specified Feeding and Eating Disorder) since September of 2023, and must I tell you it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever endured. I hope those suffering will someday recover. You are so worth it and so beautiful, you know that?

Biloxi country

By Edward McBride

This song is about a young man rejected by his father and never given any love. His only escape was his guitar which he had to hide as his father would have sold it. This Mississippi boy aims for the stars and his goal of getting to Nashville, learning his craft in the honky-tonks, dive bars, and anywhere else that affords him the opportunity to play and sing.
