Feeling me

(Jordan Lewis)

To the women that come into our lives simply to entertain their feelings. Stop leading us on. How could we not catch feelings?

Deleted your number from my phone How you feeling me but I’m alone? Stranded location Girl I had to take you out the equation Remember when you said everything was good I pressed you about it Just felt like I should You got defensive I wish that I could Break them walls down you hide behind I know how this ends Girl I’m scarred, this ain’t the first time I tried I met plenty of you But it’s something in the air Or it’s something bout you and the way that you move Was never one to keep tabs but I see all of the things you do Wish I saw less and made my defenses thicker Yeah Wish I saw less and made my defenses bigger Because now I can’t tell if fighting for you worth my blood getting thinner You looked me in my eyes and lied to me I’m the only one around to care Why you playing these games with me Here when you were alone Answered every phone Answered every message Even got you through that shit with ya best friend No I ain’t patient I just care Know what it’s like to not have someone there I know this life ain’t fair But I can’t let you hurt me No more I can’t let you hurt me Gave you my love and you burned me

Escape (my reality)

By Annabel Chima

Sometimes one needs to take a break/vacation from life and just simply "escape" to find inner peace. I was inspired by my current situation: I have deleted my Instagram, Twitter and majority of my social media accounts. The lyrics romanticise, fantasise and personify the loneliness of fame. It also speaks of losing (fake) friends in the process of becoming more famous. The vibes/atmosphere of the song are very contemplative and weird. It also has a nostalgic element to it also. Genres: RnB, Pop, Indie/Rock, Hip Hop. The lyrics are best fitted in the aforementioned music genres.

Pick Me Up

By Karianne Gabaldon

A song about literally dying to know if you belong on this earth; if people desire you, if you’re worthy or not, if there’s any reason you should be alive today. You’re so far down and you’re so depressed that you don’t even care anymore, but it would be nice to know…

Fame

By Lastrellpoet LRP

This piece speaks to the sensationalism and the power of the internet, social media, and how we get caught up in the image of people versus the people themselves and what lies inside a person.

Wer hat dir deine Ehre genommen?

By David Bukovic
