Pity party
A song about the most devastating existential crisis framed as a pity party. It starts out jovial and quickly turns to tackle some really deep issues.

Welcome to my pity party
you shouldn't feel bad for me
although this song may seem heavy
it's all in my mind, you see
I have nothing to cry about
so you shouldn't be bothered
by this next few lines
it's just mostly nonsense
Everyday that passes
brings me closer to nothing
as a kid I never knew
life could be this boring
The world is upside down
so what else is new
I haven't been right
for more than a year or two
Some time ago I had the answers
or so I used to think
now I don't know and I don't care
whatever will be will be
“Hold out hope, things will get better”
that's what I believed
now that seems rather silly
but how much worse could things be
I'm waiting on the world to change
though I know it will stay this way
What can I say, I guess we'll see
but the change won't come from me
Everytime I get a choice
I seem to make the wrong one
so now not even in myself
I can place my own trust
I wanted to help the planet
and everyone that lives on it
now I don't think I can
help out anyone
So that was my pity party
it was fun for me
I got to say a few things
that I had been keeping in
Though it didn't help anybody
and it was imaginary
that you came by makes me glad
Hope you don't leave feeling bad
After all this was a pity party
nothing that should bring you worry
I'll be fine tomorrow morning
call me then and thanks for coming
