The Crazy Came Out

(Melanie Thompson)

Cell phones and exes don't mix. These lyrics describe just how bad things get when they do.

Verse 1. I was grilling some steaks on my new barbeque. My neighbor brought cake and a 12-pack of brew. The score at half-time, Spurs were winning by two. Then my ex sent a text with an emoji BOO-HOO :( Chorus. When the crazy comes out, leave it alone. When the crazy comes out, for God's sake don't answer your phone. When the crazy comes out, a number of things could go wrong. When the crazy comes out, be strong, say you're gone, hit a bong, write a song. Oh shit! Ding-dong. The crazy came out. Verse 2. I was helping my dad paint the walls in his den. We were laughing and joking. It was a quarter pass ten. An email was sent from my ex to my cell. I tapped without thinking. It read, "HOPE YOU ROT IN HELL" :( Chorus. Bridge. An iPhone is fun. Even Crazies have one. A tool that they use to harass. An Android is cool. But don't be a fool. Block every ex from your past. Verse 3. On a work slash vacation, in an expensive hotel, I was watching some porn. I remember it well. A pop-up appeared. My ex had sent me an App. When I hit it, a laser blew up my nut sack :) Chorus.

Suburban Boy Scout

By Melanie Thompson

I always wanted to be a Girl Scout. I never got the chance though. The organization wasn't available where I lived. However, The Boy Scouts were. My brother was a Boy Scout. These lyrics are not meant in any way to shade The Boy Scouts. Just the opposite. Without The Boy Scouts my brother would have more than likely ended up in prison or dead.

Ghost Kids

By Melanie Thompson

Every kid wants to be a superhero. And as adults, we should help them with that dream. I grew up loving Batman and Wonder Woman. Some ADULT comic writers just want to be rich. Nothing wrong with wanting to be successful. But they fill pages and pages with pure trash. Evil things should be written about. But why make the evildoers the good guys?

Whispers of the Cosmic Ballet

By Edward McBride

I have tried to create a dreamlike atmosphere throughout the lyrics. The connection between the individual and the cosmos is expressed --the idea of finding grace, learning to fly, and navigating life's ebbs and flows resonates with a sense of hope and resilience. In the outro, it invites the reader to join in the cosmic dance and embrace the dreams that lie within the whispers of the night

Famous

By Howard Aronson

This is a lyric about a relationship with a potential star, who becomes one. As the relationship goes along and the person becomes a bigger star they leave, and when they return there's always less of them that comes back. The person who isn't the star knows that the days are numbered and they will leave one day for good. The only good thing about it was that person got famous from the other. Famous for being the other one in the relationship. Even though they should have known better to get involved and stay in the relationship, they did.
