Verse 1
These addictions have gotten the best of me;
and this crowd is getting harder to shake.
I have forgotten who I’m supposed to be.
How much more of this can I really take?
Too many paths got crossed and too many people got hurt.
How did I get so lost, that I’m the one pushing them into the dirt?
I can’t seem to find the end of this road and these hills are getting too steep.
Who can help me decipher this code? Lately It’s all that I seem to reap.
Bridge
Once again I’m at another dead end.
Am I too far gone to start new again?
Chorus
Take one look at the sky
and you can see all the blessings in disguise.
He knows your pain, He knows your sorrow;
it’s easy to see it in your eyes.
This path may seem tough right now,
but you made it to the bend.
Don’t be afraid, He’ll show you how.
The path has stopped and It may seem bewildering,
but listen closely. Hear Him whispering,
‘This dead end is where you truly begin.’
Verse 2
How can I change when all I know is how to suffer the pain?
I’ve been at this so long I can’t understand my own brain.
I feel like I’m fighting someone else’s chain.
These walls surround me like metal steel,
no wonder I can’t feel or remember if I’ve eaten a meal.
But I’ve learned to conceal all that’s inside me and keep them from knowing who I could be.
Too many years of holding it in now I lost the key.
The only thing I had left to set myself free.
So I’m glued to this path full of dangerous wrath.
Closing my eyes so I can’t see the aftermath.

Verse 3
I’ve been hearing a voice
and it’s saying it’s time to make a choice.
A decision that defines your destiny.
Something I’m doing so cautiously, but helplessly.
Something about this seems so heavenly, it just might be my remedy
and take me from my enemy to create my true legacy.
I move further along the current road I’m on, but suddenly the path is gone.
Now something is calling me to just keep pushing on.
This feeling is strange, such a change from my normal derange.
It’s louder now, this voice is more distinct somehow.
It’s so overwhelming and all I feel is so much compelling towards my heart
to let myself depart from the demons inside. I feel like I’m receiving a fresh start.
These walls around me are turning into dust
and my whole body tells me to just trust;
so I must let myself adjust to this life changing gust.
I open my eyes to amazing relief.
I’ve been pulled out from the never ending grief.
Now I am so full of belief because my night
has turned into blessed light
that is entirely full of Gods amazing might.
I’m no longer stuck behind those walls of despair
for I am His and I feel like I’m walking on air.
This was never my dead end cause Jesus brought me out of sin
and showed me that this was the perfect road to start my win.
